Scholarship Benefits:
The following perks will be provided to the recipient of the Turkey Government Scholarship:

Scholarship Period:
It is determined by the program.
- 4 years for a bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of Turkish language training.
- 1 year of Turkish language study Plus 2 years of Master’s
- Ph.D.: one-year Turkish language course plus four years
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Turkey Government Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Languages required: English or Turkish
- All countries in the world are eligible.
- Minimum Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree candidates must have a minimum academic accomplishment of 70%.
- 75% academic accomplishment is required for Masters’s and Doctorate candidates.
- Minimum academic accomplishment for candidates to the Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy): 90%
- Criteria for Age:
- For Undergraduate programs, you must be under the age of 21.
- For Master’s programs, you must be under the age of 30.
- Doctorate programs need applicants to be under the age of 35.
- Doctorate programs need applicants to be under the age of 35.
- Groups Eligible:
- Citizens from every country
- Graduates or candidates who will be eligible to graduate by the conclusion of the current academic year (before August 2022)
- Academics and researchers
- Non-Eligible Populations:
- Turkish citizens as well as individuals who have lost their Turkish citizenship
- Students who are already enrolled in Turkish institutions at the level of study for which they are applying
- Other Prerequisites:
- You must be certified in TOEFL or IELTS (The Test of English as a Foreign Language). If you wish to study in English, the certification is an international standard that indicates you are proficient enough to enroll in a course at a university.
- It is advised that you present an authentic academic record that includes all certifications, courses, and grades earned during your academic career.
- You must submit a letter explaining why you want to participate in this scholarship program. If your Statement of Purpose has to be improved and critical aspects are missing from your SOP, you may be rejected.
- Applicants should not have any medical issues.
- Please review the criteria throughout the application period for any extra application requirements for short-term scholarship programs.
Application Procedure:
- There are no permitted institutions or individuals to apply for Türkiye Scholarships.
- Candidates are strongly recommended to thoroughly study the application system’s instructions and cautions.
- Applicants must submit and upload the needed documents to the application system.
- Applications sent by mail, courier, or hand will not be accepted.
- Applications are completely free.
- Türkiye Scholarships involve both a scholarship and university placement. Applicants will be assigned to a university and program based on the 12 preferences they select in the application procedure.
- TA valid National Identification Card OR a Passport
- A current photograph of the contender (Please note that the photo you upload into the Application system must be a proper portrait of yourself, candidate photos that are not identifiable will undermine the evaluation of your application)
- National exam results (required for candidates who do not possess any international qualification or certification)
- Graduation diploma or interim certificate
- Transcripts of academic work (online screenshots and uncertified transcripts will undermine the evaluation of your application)
- Scores from international exams (GRE, GMAT, DELF, YDS, YS…etc., if necessary by the chosen university and program)
- Language exam results (if required by the chosen university & program)
- A study proposal as well as an example of your writing (for Ph.D. applicants only)
