International Students are welcome to apply for the LION Scholarship 2023 – MSc degree in Physics. The scholarship provides for Master’s level programs in Science, Physics at Leiden University. The scholarship deadline is February 1, 2023.
The research of the Leiden Institute of Physics (LION) is fundamental and driven by curiosity. All of their scientists have a passion to learn more about the world around us, in an open environment of inquiry where breakthrough ideas develop with applications and value for society. The Leiden Institute of Physics (LION) granted the LION Scholarship 2023 with funding provided by the Den Adel Fund for Experimental Physics and the Lorentz Fund for Theoretical Physics.
Benefits:
Each scholarship (€ 6000 per year) is provided for one year and is extendable for a second year based on good performance (60EC with a GPA of more than 8 in the first year). Please keep in mind that scholarships do not free you from the tuition charge at Leiden University nor from the prospective ‘evidence of adequate money’ needed for applying for a student visa/residence permit with the Dutch Immigration Office (required for non-EER nationals).
Eligible Groups:
LION scholarships are available to non-Dutch nationals.
Application Procedure:
To apply for LION Scholarship MSc Program applicants are required to submit the following:
- The acceptance motivation letter should explicitly include the fellowship application and emphasize academic excellence.
- Include one reference letter from your present study program in your application file to support your fellowship application.
