Begin your academic experience in South Korea. Excellent news! The KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship is now available. In this essay, we will go through the KAIST Undergraduate Scholarship, its perks, and the application procedure in depth.
The KAIST University Undergraduate Award 2023-2024 is a fully financed foreign student scholarship. This scholarship is exclusively available for master’s degree study. This scholarship will cover the whole tuition charge, a monthly allowance of up to 800,000 KRW, one round-trip economy flight, Korean language training fees, and medical insurance.

Selection procedure:
- English is the required language.
- All countries in the globe are eligible. Applicants with dual citizenship in Korea are NOT eligible to apply as foreign students.
- Candidates who have graduated or will graduate from high school before February 28th, 2023 are eligible for the Spring Semester, of 2023 (EARLY only).
- Candidates who have graduated or will graduate from high school by August 31st, 2023 are eligible for the Fall Semester of 2023.
Application:
- By credit card or bank transfer, pay the application cost (USD 80 or 80,000 KRW).
- On the application page, upload scanned copies of the following extra needed documents. The uploaded copies must be clear and readable, as attested by the school principal or the head/director of the organization.
- One letter of recommendation.
- Profile of a Secondary or Tertiary School
- Transcript from high school or university.
- Official Standardized Test Report
- Report on the English Proficiency Test.
- Passport or national identification card
- Financial Resources Statement – KAIST Scholarship
- Sponsorship Financial Resources Statement
- Awards and Honors (Optional).

Noticed:
- Only ONE letter of recommendation from a teacher will be accepted.
- An academic adviser, homeroom teacher, or math/science teacher should write the recommendation letter.
- The letter must be written in either Korean or English.
- Recommendations must be sent electronically using the online application platform. We will provide your instructor a link to submit your recommendation letter online before the deadline once you have paid the application cost.
- It is critical that you accurately include your recommender’s email address on your online application form so that they each receive an automatic email with instructions on how to proceed with their recommendation through the online procedure.
- Once your recommender provides the reference letter, your application will be complete.
- Hard copies of recommendation letters are NOT permitted.
