The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program 2023-24 offers an exceptional chance for foreign students to enroll at one of the world’s top international institutions, which is located in Hungary. Bright students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship program in order to help the country and institute realize their goal and vision of guaranteeing the welfare of society. The fully-funded foreign scholarship allows for part-time and full-time study in Hungary at various degree levels, such as non-degree programs, one-tier degrees, and Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs. Almost every topic of study is covered by the Hungary scholarship, which is available at 31 Hungarian higher education institutions. The programs are mostly in English, although additional languages are also offered in this scholarship class. In addition to these study programs, students are given a one-year Hungarian language preparatory training course, which may assist them to continue their studies in the Hungarian language.


For bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, one-tier master’s degrees, non-degree programs, and postgraduate specialty training courses

  • There is no tuition fee.
  • A stipend of HUF 43,700 (about EUR 103) per month for 12 months.
  • For the length of the program, free dormitory housing or a monthly accommodation stipend of HUF 40,000 will be offered.
  • Medical insurance for up to HUF 65,000 (about EUR 153) per person is provided for 12 months.

Ph.D. Programs in Hungary:

  • There is no tuition fee.
  • A stipend of HUF 140,000 (about EUR 331) each month for the first four semesters.
  • A stipend of HUF 180,000 (about EUR 425) each month for the second part of four semesters till the completion of the study.
  • For the length of the program, free dormitory housing or a monthly accommodation stipend of HUF 40,000 will be offered.
  • Medical insurance for up to HUF 65,000 (about EUR 153) per person is provided for 12 months.

Selection procedure

  • Candidates from qualified countries are encouraged to apply.
  • A high school diploma is required for those seeking a bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates must have a strong academic background.
  • Candidates pursuing master’s degrees must hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates pursuing doctorate degrees must hold a master’s degree.
  • A certificate of student status issued by the sending/home university is required for candidates applying for a one-tier or non-degree program.
  • Candidates must be nominated by the appropriate authorities of the sending partner nations.

  • Applicants must apply online at the Tempus Public Foundation’s website.
  • Please include all of your specific personal information, such as your name, address, date of birth, country, religion, and so on.
  • Fill out all of the relevant information for each level.
  • Applicants must submit and store their applications on the internet.
  • After completing an application on the Tempus Foundation website, candidates must also apply through the sending partner of their respective countries.
  • Candidates must accept the statement to apply through the online system.
